DAY THREE. After finishing up at midnight on MBFWA day two it was pleasantly surprising that I found it so easy to wake up at 5am. I defiantly had an abundance of nervous energy after treating myself to two black coffees all before 8am. I feel knowing that Redken were treating me to a mostly relaxing day as they shipped me off to Muse Hairdressing to have my hair cut and coloured definitely definitely helped me get out of bed after about 4 hours sleep. But its also fashion week and if I had to choose between a sleep in or a day behind the scenes with designers and stylists you know where Id be,

First up this morning was designer Michael Lo Sordo and if the whimsical top knots by hair directer Richard Kavanagh from Redken Australia were anything to go by, we were in store for quite the show. Possibly one of my favourite locations of the whole week, the large open floor space accompanied by the morning sunlight through the arched windows and rustic white brick walls made the dreamy flowing gowns and wispy hair glow.

Arriving back to Carraigeworks after the first show it was straight back to work capturing my personal favourite hair of the week from hair directer Jon Pulitano. I'm a sucker for a sleek middle part tucked behind the ears and if I could get away with this style on a daily basis I would look perfectly put together every day. Lets be honest, its incredibly editorial ands super high fashion which worked seamlessly with One Fell Swoops silky and slinky designers perfectly balancing structure and movement.

Finally just before i'm swept away to Muse Hair for my Redken make over I make sure i get as much backstage action for the much anticipated Jayson Brundson show. Going off the images that are popping up all over the internet it looks as though the show went off without a hitch. Being that this was one of Jason Brundson's first menswear collection, he perfectly mastered masculine feminine. Strong shapes and fabric perfectly paired with delicate patterns and romantic reds. Hair directer Richard Kavenagh created two looks for Jayson. Sweet tousled locks brought back delicately into two twist for the ladies and quiffed, textured hair giving a clean cut look for the guys.

  1. Those theatrical props and makeup at Group Swim is so eyecatching. So much FOMO over here as I missed MBFWA to be overseas.
Living vicariously through your post though!
